Exciting news for downtown Brockton!
The Trout Brook Ecological Restoration Project is officially on the way to transform about 1,500 feet of Trout Brook into a healthier, more resilient urban waterway.
For decades, historical industrial and rail yard activities have constrained the brook. This project will “daylight” (uncover), widen, and naturalize the stream corridor to:
Reduce local flooding
Improve water quality
Restore wildlife habitat
Create awesome new public spaces and recreation spots
