Brockton Community Electricity is a program in development by the City of Brockton to provide residents and businesses with new, City-vetted options for electricity supply, enabling the City to negotiate for lower prices for electricity. The program will be open to electricity customers in Brockton, whether they are a resident, a business, a renter, or an owner.
The draft plan for the program is available for public review from July 20, 2026 through August 20, 2026. Visit the program website to you can download a copy of the draft plan, learn more about the proposed program, and submit comments on the draft plan.
The City of Brockton will hold a public hearing on August 24, 2026 at 7:00 pm during the City Council Meeting in the Council Chambers Room at City Hall, 45 School St, Brockton. You may attend the hearing in person or participate virtually using the link available at BrocktonCommunityElectricity.com.
Brockton Community Electricity will not replace National Grid, the electric utility in Brockton, which will continue to deliver your electricity, repair power outages, maintain the electricity grid and manage all billing.
